Memoirs

One of the most beautiful things I remember from childhood is being allowed to just be a kid. I rarely got yelled at for little kid mishaps and even bigger kid teenage mishaps never granted a loud tongue lashing. Sure I got scolded some or sent to my room. An occasional grounding took place as well. I even got spanked once or twice. My mom and grandma showered me with love and praise and aided through talks of wisdom to help push me in the direction of understanding. They understood that part of being a kid, growing up, includes lots of mistakes and mishaps. Their intention was not to punish me but to guide me. Thank you mom and grandma. I hope I can know how to be this kind of mother.
